NetFlight™ is a groundbreaking product poised to revolutionize data transport and storage access for motion picture and television post-production. NetFlight™utilizes Thomson’s proprietary data pumping technology. This Reliable WAN Transfer Protocol (RWTP) enables
greater degrees of inter-facility collaboration than ever before. It allows
customers to achieve previously unheard-of transfer speeds for DPX
files that have been slow moving in the past, accelerating workfl ows and
eliminating data transfer bottlenecks.
NetFlight™ facilitates high speed DPX file transfers from one location to another via 10 Gigabit links. NetFlight™ ensures 100% error-free data transfer at stable data rates in excess of 300MB/sec even in the face of high latency or packetloss. NetFlight™ removes traditional bottlenecks related to protocol and latency; the only limitations are storage and network constraints.
NetFlight™revolutionizes existing workfl ows by moving DPX frames eight
to ten times faster than existing data transfer technology. 5000 2K DPX files
could take 25 minutes with traditional transfer methods, but can now be
transferred in 3 minutes using NetFlight™. NetFlight™ supports several
existing SAN, DAS, and NAS filesystems and storage devices already in use. NetFlight™ provides fast, easy, reliable transfer of 2K/4K DPX files
over high-speed network connections.
